Vaarrun led Shopify's global billing & payments product portfolio, serving over 3M merchants and contributing to $4B in annual revenue. During his tenure at Shopify, Vaarrun launched local currency billing and payment methods(UPI, SEPA) in India and EU through integrations with payment processors like Razorpay, Braintree and Stripe. Vaarrun also built expertise in integrating with Stripe Billing solutions in North America and launched a unified view for Enterprise Billing featured in Shopify Summer Editions 2023.
Prior to Shopify, Vaarrun steered Wayfair's B2B sales and B2C Omni channel strategies, prioritizing customer adoption and profitability, resulting in $100 million in growth. Vaarrun championed the launch of the new chat integration on Wayfair.com with Twilio's core messaging product and then with a homegrown communication platform. Vaarrun also pushed for product led growth across B2C and B2B sales teams, building smart quoting, pricing and discounting platforms that leveraged machine learning to drive customer conversion.
